Step1: Press the Windows+R key to open Run. Type in “regdit” and click OK.
Step2: go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
Step3: look for WaitToKillServiceTimeout in the right pane of the registry editor window and double click on it
Step4: Set the value between 1000 and 20000 (Recommended – 2000)
Step5: Tap on OK to save your changes.

Run a System File Checker Scan
- Right-click on the windows button and select command prompt (admin) to open the CMD window as an administrator
- Once the command prompt is opened, type “SFC/scannow” and press Enter
- Once the scan is completed, restart your computer
Create a Shutdown Shortcut
Creating a shortcut can help you shut down your system immediately, in just one click. To create one, follow these steps.
- Right-click on your desktop -> Select new -> Choose shortcut
- You can name it “ Shutdown.exe –s –t 00 ” and Click Next
- Click Finish
