How To Fix 504 Gateway Timeout Error?
1)Refresh:
Whatever the error code, refreshing will always be in the first place in our posts’ solution list. There is a valid reason for this, refreshing ‘could’ fix any error code message. You can refresh by pressing F5 or Ctrl and R simultaneously or even click on the round icon at the top left corner of the screen.
2)Restart your device, router, and modem:
Restarting your device and router/modem can sometimes solve Web errors, so restart your device and your router or modem. After your device boots up, see if the error still persists.
3) Change your DNS server:
Problems in the DNS server are also popular among most of our posts because it is very likely that they are being caused by an issue in the DNS server. First, you will need to check if the DNS server is the problem. If not all your network devices are getting an HTTP 504 error but they’re all on the same network, modifying your DNS servers probably isn’t going to work. If this sounds like your situation, then you can skip this.
4) Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider):
This is the most unlikely case but there is a slight chance that this could be the root of the problem. The 504 Gateway Timeout that you’re seeing could be a problem caused by a network issue that your ISP is responsible for. Contact your ISP and let them know about your problem. Hopefully, they can look into the issue and solve the problem from their end.
5) Contact the Website:
When there is nothing left to do, you can contact the website and let them know. There’s a good chance the website administrators are already working to correct the root cause of the 504 Gateway Timeout error, assuming they’re aware of it, but there’s nothing wrong with touching base with them.
