You can easily download a certain app, but while downloading another app, you can get this error. A box that reads “Try that again. Something went wrong.

If that doesn’t solve the issue follow the below-mentioned methods to prevent this error from happening:

Try Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

As you probably don’t know the source of the issue, the first thing you should do is use a built-in tool, a Windows app store troubleshooter that looks for and fixes app store glitches. Make sure your windows are updated.

  • Press Windows + I key top open settings.
  • Go to Update & Security and navigate to Troubleshoot -> Windows Store Apps.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting.
  • Clear Windows Cache.

Windows cache can sometimes create a minor issue. You have to clear the windows cache once in a while.

  • Search your computer for wsreset.exe
  • Right-click on it and choose Run as Administrator.

When it’s completed a confirmation message indicating the process is completed pops on the screen.

Allow the apps to use your location and make sure the time is correct

Sometimes the location settings can cause this issue so Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Location

If the Location service is turned off, turn it on and retry the download.

Another thing you should do is make sure the Region and language settings are correct. Go to Settings -> Time & Language ->Region and Language.

  • Run DISM Scan.
  • Press Windows + X and then navigate to Windows Powershell (Admin).
  • Run these commands in sequence.

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

If the above command doesn’t work, try this:

 Dism /Image:C:\offline /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:c:\test\mount\windows 

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:c:\test\mount\windows /LimitAccess 

  • Reboot your pc when you’re done.
  • Re-register to the store.
  • First, close the Windows store if running.
  • Open cmd as administrator.
  • Run the following command.

 PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command “& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + ‘\AppxManifest.xml’ ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}”

  • Once the command is executed, reboot your system.
  • Try downloading/updating the apps again.
